how can my daughter get medical and prescription coverage on herself without losing coverage for her daughter. my daughter lives around frederick maryland, does not work because of her own medical problems, but is being told that her daughter would lose coverage if my daughter had coverage because she lives in a nice area of town.

That has nothing to do with getting medical insurance. Have her call a social service/state office and get the proper information.
