This is a female thing. Mens restrooms do not have couches and chairs in them. Having plumbed many public restrooms, I always wondered why this is. Was told by store management that it is expected. Would not be my idea of comfortable place to hang out either.

Not so much in a public restroom. I like them in shops/resturants. But in public only drug addicts and homeless people will be hanging around the lounge area.

I personally feel it's more for public appearance. I've never hung out in a public restroom or seen others hanging out there either. Thank goodness.

I think it's actually pretty gross. I mean, who really wants to lounge outside of a restroom?

I think they're kind of pointless in this day in age. Everyone is constantly on the go and when you do want to relax, I think there are nicer places than inside the restroom. That's kind of gross. Luckily, they seem to becoming obsolute.

I think they would be useful for a mother who is breastfeeding and wants a little privacy. or for the elderly person who has walked themselves silly and need a rest. I think they are a welcomed addition to any restroom.

Nice if you have children and a lot of bags. Other than that, kind of gross. I don't like cloth chairs because they cannot be easily cleaned no matter what anyone says. A plastic or metal chair would be better because it could be sanitized daily.

I'd rather lounge in a more fragrant environment!
