Chopped onion, paprika, and when the dish is done cooking, add 1/2 cup sour cream, and don't bring it up to a boil...just heat.

Hungarian Goulash is the best.
Add potatoes, pumpkin, peas, carrots, corn, onion and a bay leaf.
Don't forget to remove the bay leaf before serving.

It's not golash unless you add corn. I use two cans of cambels tomatoe soup instead of paste. You must season with paprika, he's right
