Why not make a wedding "night" kit so the groom will feel somewhat included like
A nice night gown
Massage oils
candles
Something to drink
2 nice champagne flutes
something to eat like chocolates
etc.
A romantic type kit for her to use with him.

well it was rude of her to specify what to get her, but I think a spa day would be nice, let her have a day of pampering for the wedding, just give her the card for like a mani-pedi, facial type things and don't worry about the kit, I would be super grateful for that!

Spa session is AWESOME gift!
Be sure to include safety pins - they are good for lots of things.
An emery board, clear nail polish, tissue and Q-tips (they are good for blotting the 'damp' out of your eyes w/o smearing makeup!)

The shower gift is meant for the couple, not something as personal as you are thinking. Something for the home.
