History repeats itself, it is the late 1930's and the modern equivalent of the "League of Nations" want to "negotiate" with Iran only!!

In addition, current pacifist morons like the ones back in the late 1930's who ALSO did not want us to do anything about hitler back then, now do not want anyone to do anything about the new "hitler" in Iran!!!

idiots!!

well, don't cry later some years down the road when Iran HAS the nukes and threatens even more...

The people of Iran are not the problem - Ahmedinejad (I'm on a jihad) is. It is time to rescind the excecutive order signed by Gerald Ford that prohibits assinations of world figures. It only takes a signature by Pres Bush to do so. Imagine what the world would be like today if Hitler had been assassinated (we could have done it in 1935 &/or 1936) & WWII may have been averted & 60,000,000 people would not have died as a result of the war. One must realize "I'm on a jihad" is not Persian - the native people of Iran - but an Arab (take a good look @ that schnoz!) & Iran (Persia) is now 40% non-Persian. Whacking him would be a good start (the Persian people would love us for it) following up with Hugo Chavez & Kim Jong Mentally-Il. We should have gotten rid of Castro 50 yrs ago. Look what communism has done to this potential island paradise.

The U.S. military has a pretty good arsenal of heavy but non-nuclear weapons. _I_ would bring in the heavy bombers and artillery and just pound 'em for a while while I built up ground troops and close air support capabilities.
Then, send in the Marines!!! Kick Iraq and get Osama BinLaden on public trial like we did Saddam Hussein.
That would stop Iran in its tracks.

Release all our our captive personnel, including the 15 British sailors or we drop MOB's on Iraq and Iran. Anybody else want to negotiate?

Use up left-over bombs and munitions from the Viet-nam era, as well as stuff left-over from the cold war...fire it all at them from every direction with no regard as to where it falls. And if that isn't enough to straighten them out, then use newer stuff to blast them off the map.
I'm fairly certain that something like this will happen sooner or later, after-all, Israel is near it's boiling point with Iran anyway, and they alone could do enough damage to iran to set the bigger stage. And with them kidnapping those British marines, makes all this that much more realistic.
If you disagree with that assessment, know that you are in the dark with the reality of the drama unfolding in the middle-east.

The solution to this is very SIMPLE.

1) Negotiate the release of our troops from Iran.

2) Withdraw all military forces from the Middle East. We don't belong there. We shouldn't be poking around in these Middle Eastern countries in the first place.

3) Immediately close all borders - carefully monitor all borders.

4) Immediately close all immigration from the Middle East.

5) Deport many legal immigrants from that region. They can worship Allah in any one of the many Middle Eastern countries available.

6) Buy oil from nearby friendly nations and drill for oil in our own backyard. In the meantime, develop alternative fuel sources. The technology is already there and has been there for decades. That way we become energy self-sufficient.

7) Beam positive radio, Internet and TV programs into the Middle East that support freedom of speech, democracy, human rights, etc.

[UK leadership knew these troops would likely be captured. Why? So they can provoke public outrage over Iranians detaining some UK soldiers. It's a PR stunt to generate public support for war with Iran. British troops had no business in the first place being anywhere near Iranian waters.

International banking elites, various multi-national corporations and other groups want war with Iran. They also want war with other countries in the Middle East. They want to control the middle east and milk it for money. That's a fact.
A bunch of wild-eyed muslims pose no threat if they aren't allowed into our countries in the first place. These muslims are sitting in the middle of the desert, surrounded by mountains, sweltering heat and thousands of miles and ocean separate them from us Westerners.

The real threat is the thirdworld invasion of our nation. These thirdworlders bread like rabbits and cry racism to get political, economic and street power. In due time they will own large swaths of our homeland. How? We have maybe 1 or 2 kids. These foreigners have 4 kids minimum and constantly cry racism to cower us into giving them what they want. These foreigners also commit crime, most of it is by them, (see le stats) and will in due time turn much of our homeland into one big gang-infested inner city. This is who we should be fighting.]

Some of our military leaders have already said they would have handled that situation differently. Our rules of engagement are different than Britain's. Our soldiers would've fired upon the Iranians in a situation where they're about to be taken hostage. Self preservation.

kevw25 has been listening to too many far left wingers. Do you actually believe calling a country axis of evil is what makes them hate us? That's awful naive of you.

Personally, I wouldn't do anything to Iran, but tell them that if any, repeat any, terrorist attack hits the US using any sort of WMD then Iran will by nuked to the stone age.

for those of you that want to go to war with Iran, then go! The U.S is not wining in Iraq, i don't think they can win in Iran, The U.S also needs to do away with there WMD before they tell others that they cannot have them.

Do not underestimate IRAN

The stone cold arrogance of the US has gotten into some bad situations.

It is going to be a long cold walk to work for americans if they keep up all this military madness.

nothing. who are we to say that another country cant have necular programs. we are the only country on the planet that has dropped an atomic and hydrogen bomb in anger. they may be dangerous, but how about not using terms lke"axis of evil" to describe them. im sure that makes them love america. anyway, we are forced to do nothin because our current deployment renders a military strike almost impossible with the amounts of forces we have ready to fight.
