What kinds of meds do they prescribe for people who have paraniod schizophrania? what would they do to someone who doesn't have the disorder and takes them anyway?

I would not take them if not prescribed. I am in a weird situation. If I went to a dr and described what was causing my anxiety, they would more than likely diagnose thst I suffer from this condition. If I am not hallucinating the fact that I might be part of an investigation , then I would not be crazy and would not physically need the meds. So that is why I am asking what kind of meds would most likely be used and what would be the results of someone not chemically imbalanced taking them.

For conditions such as this there is a classification of drugs called antipsychotics, a couple examples are Seroquil and Risperdal. I recommend examination by a psychologist or psychiatrist because these doctors are more familiar with mental disorders than a regular MD and will be able to diagnosis you better and be sure you get the right drugs, if needed. If you take these drugs and they are not needed you may feel "out of body" or "loopy" the side effects vary from person to person. There are also side effects you will feel if the drugs are needed as well so be careful!

There are many drugs for schizophrenia - which means "broken mind". These drugs are called anti-psychotics, and you don't need those.

If you are experiencing anxiety, and it is likely, there are a lot of drugs that can help you, without the side effect associated with antipsychotic drugs.

There are a variety of medications for Schizophrenia.
I would suggest only those who have the diagnosis take the meds.... they are to control their mental illness symptoms...
why would you take a med if you didn't have the symptoms it fixed?
these types of drugs DO NOT offer any type of HIGH or "feel good" effect. They are strickly prescribed to control symptoms of the illness they are prescribed for.
hope this helps!

Unfortunately, doctors are "educated idiots". They have all kinds of "book knowledge" but without them actually having experienced the issues themselves or having someone close to them experience them, they are basically without a clue!!!

Doctors do prescribe medication & LOTS OF IT: in fact, MOST doctors prescribe at the minimum 3 medications...... & they DO NOT listen. In fact, I was referred to my psychologist so that he could determine if the medication that I may or may not need.
