It is warm enough for swimming in Florida.
I'm not sure about the 'beached' up to you waist.
I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

Florida is not gonna rapidly cool down like it is here in North Carolina. Supposed to be in the 80s all week.

Weather changes all the time here in South Florida. It's definitely warm enough for swimming, but it may rain while you're here.
The beaches have life guards and warning signs of any riptides or other hazards.
Pollution will be the worst thing you encounter... well that, and man-o-wars and jellyfish, oh, and the occasional shark attacks.
