They have no problem talking crap about other nationalities and being rude, but when you give them the same medicine, they call you a bully and say you hurt their feelings. Or sometimes, they swing their fists.

With French or Irish, they take it in stride, but the Saxons around here just can't have a civilised conversation. Why?

Iraq: the Brits knocked down a prison before asking nicely to hand over their lad. Plus, the Americans who I've seen in fights have English ancestory.

Generalizing is wrong, but I deal with lots of English folks in business. And honestly, I am always amazed at how arrogant and snide they can be - not all, but, like about 75%. Monday-morning quarterbacks. But it's true, there are good and bad, kind and cruel people in every population. But still...#englishpeople

I don't think it's fair to attribute this trait to "English people." Sweeping generalizations are never good. I lived in Ireland for two years and had a few English friends there. None of them were like that. Maybe it's just the particular group of people you're around. Don't attribute to to "English people" as a whole.

The Americans are much more aggressive, and trigger happy.
