Lexif,
Check with immigration about the requirements to become a citizen of this great country!
I also saw that you had some questions about getting coverage to go to a doctor (on your other threads). There is an alternative for you that is cost-effective.
Check out http://www.qualitymedicalcare.org and let me know if you have any questions.

Unfortunately staying in the US will not guarantee you to become a resident. There are ways to be and you could follow those routes - green card by lottery, marriage (I do not suggest you do this just for the residency visa) and then there is asylum. But do you want to file asylum and never get the chance to go back to your country even to visit for years to come?

You cannot stay in the US without going through the Immigration process.
If you don't apply and follow the rules, you will be deported when caught, and put on a list that will bar you from entering the country in the future for any reason.

Unless you have a family member like a husband, sister, parent etc to sponsor you- you will not receive a green card just by staying here. Visit Immigration's website at www.uscis.gov for more info.

When you get here, I guess. You cannot become a US citizen until you fill out the papers and go through all of the legal stuff
