They are only doing what comes naturally. They are not wised up to know it is wrong to leave it in public places. It is the irresponsible dog owners who are at fault. Question them, and they always say "But it's not my dog that made that mess" or "I always clean up after my dog". Unfortunately (for us), they are telling lies, and most seem to think it doesn't include them when the signs say 'Dogs fouling the footpath (etc) will be fined'. It's never THEIR dog that has pooped on the playing field, that you or your children have just stepped in.
They are the ones who should be cleaning the streets, not the people employed by the council.

They need to empty their bowels the same as us. As to where to go you have been trained as a sapient human to first use a potty then a lavatory.Dogs are not sapient humans. They basically act from their animal instincts.Dogs do vary, whether as a result of training or whether it is just their own individuality I don't know.My daughter's dog for example, although he poos outdoors he doesn't do it on the pavement or street but backs into a bush or thicket to do his business out of the way.Other dogs just do it wherever they may be. There are lots of regulations(in the UK) requiring dog owners to pick up with a plastic bag their dog's droppings and to either take it home or deposit it in one of the doggie bins sited in parks and places where dogs are exercised.

I'm afraid that all creatures need to poo, just think how awful it would be if they didn't there would be people and animals exploding all over the place.....messy! As far as pooing in the street is concerned surely that is down to lazy owners not picking up after them. Not the poor Pooch's fault.

You have to train them to poo in the grass a threat helps tell them that this is not alright to poo in the street. my dog always poos in the grass. But your question is why do dogs poo and i think that is a immature question because humans and animals poop for the same reason if you eat you have to digest that food and it has to come out the other end. in order for you to have more energy you eat and if you don't poop. your intestines will be way to full to consume in more. I'm sorry but are you a child. because your spelling is very bad and hard to read

They poo the same reason we poo - because they have to. They do it in the street because that's often where they are when they have to go and because they can't hold it like we can they just do. It only stays there if the owner is too lazy to clean it up!

Ok - wierd - dogs poo cos they eat, they dont get trained to use the toilet instead they are trained to go outside. Its the owners that leave it there that are disgusting, people should scoop the poop.

Why do humasn...............??
Same reason for dogs.....
It isn't the dogs fault that their owners aren't responsible and clean up after them.
As a caring, considerate and responsible dog owner I always clear up after mine. Any coat of mine tends to have bags in every pocket.
No excuse for not cleaning up after your dog!!
Tip: Buy nappy bags, they are scented, and much much cheaper than 'doggy' ones.
