Firstly, I'm wondering why the heavy duty christians are turning this into a gift from "god"... isn't this like an occult thing to you guys!!
Secondly, the reason you get the visions will never be known, but if you respect them and nurture them they will become very helpful. By relaxing and focusing yourself (even while lying in bed at night) and almost wishing you would have one, then they won't come only for such horrific circumstances. You will be able to control them in a way. You should be able to train your mind to pick up on more minor ones and then the big ones won't be such a shock to you.
I understand they can be scary, I helped a friend of mine through her "psychic discovery", and once she got used to seeing things, and speaking with those passed over she became totally un-fazed by them. I only get very strong intuitions, not visions, but believe me... they have saved us from a lot of worrying situations!!!
Good luck.

I know because of what you've seen your gift may seem like a curse, but it is really a blessing. In your case, this was probably your own way of preparing yourself for a tragedy--you could not know when that person would cross that road nor prevent them from crossing a road that was different from your vision. All of my family is blessed with these sorts of gifts. Imagine that while debating whether or not to take your boyfriend home to meet your parents for the first time, your mom calls and says she has a dream that you got married, even though she had no clue you were seeing anyone. Then a year later your dad calls and says he had a dream that you and your boyfriend were getting married--a week before your boyfriend planned on asking him for your hand in marriage. This stuff happens all the time with them! My visions tend to warn of tragedy and are usually more metaphorical. Right before I had a huge falling out with my best friend, I was plagued with nightmarish visions for three weeks--they were awful! I dreamed that I was drowning in a bath tub, only I was face down like someone had been holding me down, could not figure out why then three weeks later I figured it out. I haven't had a vision in a long time, I almost miss them. I get deja vu and predict boring convos sometimes, but that's pretty dull. Whether tragic or not, appreciate the visions that you have as ways of preparing yourself for tragedy, consider yourself blessed because not everyone is so lucky.

The Word of God says old men have dreams and young men have visions. He also says the old things pass away new things spring forth, before they come to pass won't I show you first. Write everything down that you remember about your vision(s).and pray for the interpretation. Rebuke the negative aspects of your visions, such as you mentioned car wrecks, for the prayers of the righteous avails much.
Simply begin to thank God for the gift, for it is a gift from God and allow Him to work through you as a willing vessel.
God Bless

it's actually quite common to have premenitions and visions
i get them every day
most of the time it's just little things like knowing what someone's gonna say before hand but i think the most extream i've had was when i was at school i apparently went rigid and collapsed but i litterally felt like i was drowning and i heard voices, screaming when no-one else could
the next day was the tsunami
if anyone doesn't believe you when you tell them of these experiences that's their problem and they'll soon regret disbeleiving you
it's very stressing iknow especailly when there's nothing you can do

I get them too. I think it's just a natural ability, like sight or hearing, that's more acute for some people than others.
As for trying to stop things from happening - you can try, I guess, but maybe it's impossible - I've never been able to.

1 Corinthians 12:8-11, KJV:
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another 'divers' kinds of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
Joel 2:28, KJV:
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, That I will pour out my spirit upon flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
This is a good opportunity to enter into prayer and really seek God. This could be a sign of a spiritual awakening, and you need to pursue it. A good step would be to find a church near you that adheres to scripture and can direct you in His Word.

Is a good starting point.

You have a gift - it shouldn't be abused but when you have your next one, think carefully before you reveal it, it could sometimes do more harm than good but at the same time, when you have one, write it down and get someone to sign it as a witness..........nothing better than proof.
Too many disbelievers out there that will laugh you all the way to the mental hospital. xx
