It wont do it for you but it will really help, my coach says that walking is the most underated exercise there is. if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I just paid the postage and handling, but for what I got it was well worth it. You just to go to myhealthabc.com to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.

Most likely not. You should start out walking a few miles daily and get yourself conditioned. Once walking is easy, you should start running and doing more vigorous exercises. 70 pounds is a lot of weight to lose and it could take over a year to do it. It may even be unattainable!

Don't go for a number goal. Try a goal that's more realistic and of a healthier mindset. Say you want ripped shoulders, or a flat stomach where you can see the muscles, or a cute booty. Isn't it really about looking good anyway? People don't see your weight posted on your body. And trying to reach a weigh goal can often times lead to eating disorders.

Good luck!

It isn't healthy to lose more than one or two pounds a week. The first week you might lose a little more (it's water). Walking is a good start and a wonderful exercise. You should also watch your calorie intake. An easy way to do that is just to eat what you would normally eat, but cut the portions in half. Of course if you eat lots of fried food or sweets, it is better to cut some of that out. You may not be able to lose all of it before your senior year starts, but you should be able to lose quite a bit of it and maybe by graduation you'll have reached your goal.

That's a lot of weight to lose in 22 weeks but walking is a great way to lose weight. Make sure to really push yourself through your walks..you should feel like you exercised when you're done. You need to also change your eating habits to lose that much weight. Lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats and whole grains are the way to go. Try to eat 6 small meals throughout the day or 3 medium meals and 6 snacks. Don't eat after 7 pm either. Good luck!

You could possible reach this or close. If you are only going to do walking then you need to power walk for 45-60 minutes a day 6 days a week. You also need to go on a diet...basically just reduce your calorie intake. Stop drinking soda's. Drink plenty of water everyday.
Cardio is what you really need to shed the pounds. Walking is one way of doing that. You need to walk at a fast pace though.....like I said...power walk.

I would recommend Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. I find its better than walking outside cause she makes you keep a good pace. You are going to have to change your diet. No sugar, sodas, burgers and fries etc. The most recommended is 2 lbs per week. That would be 44 lbs in 22 weeks.

no, its not.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Walking is very good, highly recommended for losing weight. But it alone can't reduce that much weight in that short time. You will need to do many other things, like exercises, diet control etc regularly. And give it like a year. You will feel the change.

Walking / excersize is where is starts but I feel that perhaps your putting to small of a time limit on it for the about of lbs. you are talking about - If you consistantly walk five miles every morning (very time consuming) and in addition to this change your diet- then you will begin to see results in as little as a week- keep in mind you would also want to change your diet in terms of drinking not just eating - alcholol- and pop are the two things to DROP COMPLETELY to increase the rate of losing weight.

Im on the bo-flex diet myself and it is VERY tough to drop pop- very tough. but if your consistant with that end exiersize too- then you will not only move tward acheiving your goal, but your body will feel healthier too.

pop & fast food diets are addictive and contain elemtes that make the consumer keep going back for them - watch the movie "super size me" it will give you a good insight to how unhealthy it actually is to eat that way.

Most likey not. You need more excercise and a strict diet. With those two combined, you should be able to loose between 2-4 pounds every week. Your mileage may vary, of course.
