Would you admit that you were wrong? or do would you blame it on bad beef franks.
And if you were to see them all the time, what would you believe?
Some day one of you, may come across one.

There is only One true God and He works in most all religions as well as no religion...you don't need to be in a religion to know God.

I would reconsider if--and ONLY if--I knew for a fact that
(1) It was NOT a hallucination
(2) I haven't been drugged
(3) I was not alone, and not the only one to see it
(4) It was not a trick someone was playing
(5) It WAS in fact a GHOST, and not something else I was mistaking for a ghost
(6) It was not just some sort of residual energy that was somehow playing itself back--(like a movie.) The ghost was there, real, and able to feel and experience being there.
Most mentally ill people who think they see things are not aware that they are mentally ill. They are not aware that it is some sort of hallucination. It is very real to them.
If my "ghost" sighting met the above criteria, then I would reconsider my position. I figure if there were ghosts wandering around, though, we all would have seen them by now. There have been many BILLIONS of people that have died on this earth. If there were such a thing as ghosts, I would think there would be a lot of them, and they would be readily sighted by more than a select few.

i believe in something akin to spirits, but it's more like energy, not anything with an identity, although I'm open to the idea that it may LOOK like an individual, i do not really think that it would BE an individual.
and why would seeing spirits lead to believing in your god? I'm starting to get an idea somewhat relating to previous answers ... psychiatric hospital... but certainly that's not what you mean... right?

Evidence is all that's required-if it's forthcoming and valid I would believe in anything but I don't expect any evidence to be put forward for the existence of spirits or God.

why is it always assumed that atheists are wrong? what if you are wrong about god existing? and if spirits ever did show themselves to me, for some unknown reason, it doesn't mean i'll start believing in god. god is a belief, such as all the other gods, and there is no such thing as a wrong belief.

If I saw credible, unambigous evidence that god existed, I'd admit it. Same with Zeus, Loki, Santa Claus, and Shiva.
Given there is no credible, unambigous evidence that god existed, why is it you do believe?

No. But I'd believe in ghosts. I'm open to the unexplained, psychic phenomena, etc.

I'd admit there were spirits, if I could eliminate the far more likely explanations for the experience.
I don't see how that would be evidence that there's a god.

If spirits are proven to exist, then it does not logically follow, by any means, that the Christian God exists.

The bad beef franks? I don't eat beef franks. But yes, I WOULD question my sanity before jumping to the conclusion that I'm actually perceiving reality.
