What do you want to impeach him for? Shouldn't we the people demand that our elected officials do their jobs and work together in a bipartisan manner? The name calling, finger pointing, he/she said should be saved for the playground not elected office.

the interesting thing on all this is that it only takes one congressman to call for a hearing. That's what has to happen first. Just one.
There are many reasons for impeaching George Bush. The ones below are the most compelling and most easily prosecuted. (For a more complete list see "Bush should be impeached.")
Misleading us about the Threat from Iraq
Bush and his team deliberately misled Congress and the American public about the rationale for invading Iraq. Bush convinced a majority of Americans that Iraq was involved with Al-Qaeda and responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Yet the evidence shows that Iraq was not involved. Bush said in his State of the Union Address that "The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa" to build nuclear weapons. But he had already been told by the CIA that the evidence was forged. Bush claimed to have hard evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. But the UN investigators could not verify any of these claims and searches of Iraq revealed no such weapons. The real reason we invaded Iraq may have more to do with the fact that Iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world, and sits strategically in the center of the Middle East.
Illegal Wiretapping of American Citizens
George Bush authorized the NSA to conduct illegal wiretaps on American citizens. Bush claimed that these were justified on the basis of national security. But there is a legal mechanism for conducting emergency wiretaps followed by court approval within 72 hours. Bush ignored that mechanism and exceeded his executive authority. Bush claims he has authority to wiretap anyone he wishes but a federal judge ruled that his actions are unconstitutional.
Torture of Prisoners
Bush and his team have set up a system of prisons around the world where prisoners can be tortured. They have fought hard to build a legal case for torture but the fact remains that torture is highly illegal. It is also considered an ineffective means of getting reliable information from a prisoner. Bush is guilty of violating of the Federal Torture Act, the UN Torture Convention and the Geneva Convention.
Violation of International Law
According to our Constitution, International Treaties are part of the "supreme Law of the Land". They are not something that can be ignored when they are inconvenient. Bush's violations of the UN Charter and the Nuremberg Charter are, therefore, impeachable offenses.
on the state of the world and why things are the way they are and have been for over 100 yrs
First I have nothing to gain recomending this book other then - more will see the truth. the whole world less 1% is being played for fools.
Creature from Jekyll Island
Where does money come from? Where does it go? Who makes it? The money magicians' secrets are unveiled. We get a close look at their mirrors and smoke machines, their pulleys, cogs, and wheels that create the grand illusion called money. A dry and boring subject? Just wait! You'll be hooked in five minutes. Reads like a detective story — which it really is. But it's all true. This book is about the most blatant scam of all history. It's all here: the cause of wars, boom-bust cycles, inflation, depression, prosperity. Creature from Jekyll Island is a "must read." Your world view will definitely change. You'll never trust a politician again — or a banker.

Ok first of all, we elected Bush knowing full well that we would go to war....we even wanted it at first believe it or not. Sure, he's done a bad job of managing the war, but you can't impeach a president for being a poor military strategist. Even if he is impeached, I don't know that we would get a much better replacement.

The definition of impeachment has been so misrepresented. See sources below for the true definition - officially accusing and bringing to trial a federal official on grounds of misconduct or abuse of powers - a vague term that does not necessarily mean that any law was technically broken.
That said, YES, I totally agree that Mr. Bush needs to go through this process. Abuse of powers and misconduct... choose any year of his presidency to find examples. Name one you might ask - how about he manipulated the American people including our representatives with faulty data in order to do what he wanted to do. What ever happened to those "Weapons of Mass Destruction"? Why is it that people forget about that? Regardless of whether he knew the data was wrong or not, he is responsible for it... and I bet he knew it was faulty! He was preparing for this war prior to approaching Congress for permission and likely would have gone ahead with it regardless. Since 9/11, he has continued to manipulate the American people with his color-coded terrorist watches (what happened to those?), questioning of fellow citizens' patriotism for their acting on freedom of speech, The Patriot Act, and many other issues that he has never apologized for or admitted fault over the last six years (besides his fake Katrina speech). Even if he did not deliver the message (e.g. Colin Powell's speech to the UN), ultimately he is the chief executive/commander in chief - it was done under his watch and presumably with his permission.
Additionally, I think Cheney should be impeached too - totally on misconduct. His most recent offense - the Valerie Plame scandal!
Both men have abused their powers provided by our so-called election process and should answer for it.
By the way, I did not vote for this administration and I have contacted my elected officials (my so-called representatives on the hill) regarding the sentiments above. Other world leaders - the countries' chief executives - have been tried for what the rest of the world (including their own citizens) considers abuse of power and misconduct... why is Mr. Bush shielded from the same accountability?

Are you kidding me? You sound like a 3 year old child. Things aren't going smoothly, so they must be wrong... Running the United States, the leader of the free world, and the envy of Eastern Civilaztion, has never been an easy job. No president has ever ran a sucessful term with out loud mouth jackasses like you thinking their freedom of speach needs to be exercised everytime somthing confuses them... We as average AMERICANS shouldn't stand for morons asking to impeach the President because he heard some faciest liberal mention it once on AM radio... Get a life... Do you really think that FOX, ABC, or CBS for that matter gives anyone the whole story? They tell you the part that spikes their ratings... The media outlets are BUSINESSES! and they are run like a BUSINESS! 99 times out of 100, our best interests are not at the heart of their "stories." I think it is terrible that the US is at war... Both of my parents served in the first Desert Storm, and i can tell you I know first hand how war hurts our country... But that doesn't mean we should just tuck tail and run... It is impairative taht we stay in the ring, and fight until the final bell as rung, and BOTH fighters have taken off their gloves... Just becuase you think the war, shouldve been over by now means nothing, nada, zip... People don't realize that war only ends when there is a peaceful resolution... Not because we stopped fighting... If we stop, we just take ourselves out of position to finish what we started... And the guy that lead us into it, should lead us out!

It wouldn't help impeaching Bush because the next two in line aren't worth a damn either, there is only one man that is running for president in 2008 that will be worth something and could straighten out the United states that's Fred Thompson he would be even better that Reagon was.

And what are we supposed to impeach him for, Stubbornness? Poor Decision Making? No matter what Bush didn't lie. He isn't a liar. He doesn't care who he gets mad. He doesn't tell people things to tickle their ear. He's an honest man. But he is stubborn, and he does things his own way. He doesn't really make decisions on his own, so his only real crime is being stubborn and doing things how he thought things should have been done. That might not agree with anyone else, as he follows his own drumbeat. But He has to do things how He thinks they should be done.
You and I don't have access to the intelligence information needed to make those decisions.
Bush doesn't do all those things himself, all that is absurd. You have to trust the men and women that analyze intellligence and other functions to do their job.
Plus what are you upset about. You aren't the guy going undercover anyway. I care much more about the field intelligence analyst and what he might have to say than I do someone who is just repeating a bunch of old tired rhetoric. You don't have any basis for an impeachment, not that I see - what's his crime?
with Clinton there was a clear cut crime. He lied to a FEDERAL GRAND JURY - it was FELONY PERJURY. If you and I did that we'd be in jail. So what Federal or State Law has Bush broken? Any? Not that I can see.
He just doesn't please everyone. Oh well. You can't please everyone can you.
Bush didn't authorize the torture of prisoners. That was Rumsfeld's doing. That was a horrid decision. I thought Rumsfeld shoul have been canned at that point. People acted on their own, it wasn't a conspiracy.

What crime has he committed? You see, impeachment is so rare that the term is often misunderstood. A typical misconception is to confuse it with involuntary removal from office; in fact, it is only the legal statement of charges, paralleling an indictment in criminal law. An official who is impeached faces a second legislative vote (whether by the same body or another), which determines conviction, or failure to convict, on the charges embodied by the impeachment.
Having a different political stance than you isn't an impeachable offense. You may not agree with the way he has lead this country, but you had your opportunity to do something about that in 2004.

By the way, Clinton was not impeached. However he should have been for pulling a media sensation that took away from the reality of what was truly going on. It was a Democratic scam.
No!
Bush isn't as bad as the Democrats and the media are trying to make it seem.
Look at the facts and not the media bias, sensationalism cloud your judgment.
The Clintonistas have money beyond comprehension. They take money from foreign resources
I know President Bush has his own resources, of course they all do. Remember we elected him twice. His popularity is only down because of the media and peoples clouded judgment from the media.
The war would have been over years ago if the President didn't have to cater to the entire lot of cry babies all around the world. Now the fact is that the same people who were crying are now blaming him for not doing what we needed to do when it all started.
The loss of life is terrible, but necessary. The Military over there were not drafted. They volunteered and are doing a fantastic job. I thank them all. . They have had their hands tied from the beginning.
Most people do not realize how evil the terrorists are. They are the works of Satan.
If we were to have let things go we would have certainly have had more attacks in our country probably worse that the Twin Towers!
Don't forget that those towers were attacked before when the Clintonistas were in power, so let’s not blame the President for everything.
He has a full government behind him voting yea or nay to decisions. If we impeach him we are just doing what the terrorists are trying to achieve, divide and conquer. The scary part is that if the Clintonistas get back into power we will be even more divided than ever.
So everyone stop blaming the President for everything including the weather. Let's stick together as Americans and stop the terrorists.
If it was a war over oil, our gasoline prices would be $0.25 a gallon and not $3.00.
The Clintonistas have only one agenda, to control the government. They certainly do not have your best interests at hand,
So in my opinion to impeach our President would be as foolish as drinking a quart of cyanide and expecting to survive.

You should sue the public officials in your home town for not living up to their obligations and providing you with an education. If you had an education, you'd know that in order for a President to be impeached, he has to commit a crime and President Bush, unlike President Clinton, has not committed any.
