I generally support Bush (I've lost half of you right there), but I'm wondering if this is what's actually happening:

Afghanistan and Pakistan (which has nukes, by the way) have leaders somewhat friendly to us, who are hanging by a thread. The populations probably include a large component who support bin Laden, or at least would be hostile to increased US presence. So the US treads lightly, with special forces, etc. and hopes to keep bin Laden bottled up at the very least. A massive assault would probably NOT do much in the area where he is suspected of being, other than inflame the population and weaken the regimes. We offered a $25 million bounty for ther guy, which has produced nothing. We don't know where he is. We're picking off deputies when and where we can. But there are some things we're NOT doing, for the reasons I stated.

That's my guess as to what's happening. What do you think?

How would YOU catch him? Be as specific as possible.

You've got the right idea.
They don't understand 25m,now if you offered 50 goats and 12 AK-47's the whole country would be out looking under rocks.

Bin Laden might be dead. He suffered from diabetes and kidney ailments. Last Fall, there was a report in the French media that someone told a French diplomat that Bin Laden had died. The French government, however, refused to add credence to that rumor without 100% proof that Bin Laden was dead. They only heard it from one source, so the question on whether he is dead or alive remains unclear. We tried the $25 million reward, we tried bombing him out of his cave, and we tried diplomacy with Pakistan. Each failed. This whole situation is huge. It involves billions of people and the security of some nations. I can't understand how these government officials handle all of the stress and all of the responsibility. They must have huge egos, way beyond the normal ego. Personally, it's sad to say but I think the Bin Laden issue is a dead issue. There are other important decisions that need to be made considering the welfare of millions if not billions of people. That should take top priority.

Iraq has swallowed up all of our intell resources so no one has a clue where he is or if he is alive or dead. If he cannot be seen from a satellite the US does not know or will know.

Without having specific intell on where he is located there is no reasonable chance of catching or eliminating Bid Laden.

To get at him you need to make him enemy number one and devote all of the intell resources to the project . But because of the Bush administration he is now number 20 or something.

I have my doubts about whether or not he's even still alive. But because of his massive following we would have to get extremely lucky and be in the right place at the right time to catch him. Or just sit back and hope some mercenaries decide to catch him to collect the bounty.

Personally, I think you'll literally have to dig him up. I think he's dead.

Bin Laden is having a three way with Hitler and Saddam in Hell, right now.
