I am in the market for new tries. Manual states a 10 PLY tire for this truck. Thinking of going with Toya Open Country A/T, any suggestions??

the biggest question is why. What you need to do is look at how many miles a year you drive, where (hot climate etc) and what kind of roads you drive on . Do you use it off road? in the snow? What gas mileage do you expect? do you want a quiet tire? how much can your afford? I would weigh all these issues before choosing any tire. I run fleets and have many clients with your vehicle. Depending on what they do we recommend tires. What tire do you have on it now? what do you like about it? What don't you liek about it? How did it wear? Michelin makes a great tire for that truck as do other companies. Michelin is a good soft ride quiet ride highway tire. I do not know that much about Toyo tires but you can campaire all the different tire features on www.tirerack.com.
We use all name brand for warrranty issues nationwide. I don't know if you blow a toyo tire in the middle of montana they will have a warranty center. If that is not an issue then Toyo may be the way for you. I do see them on Toyota 4 runners and such. A/T means all terrain. I personally like the Cooper tire as a good all around tire and they are made here and not Japan where i think the toyos come from.

Stick with something similar to what came with your vehicle. More specifically, the same ply, speed rating, load rating, etc.

If you change any of those, you may not be able to safely tow or haul the weights listed in the manual.
