I had the contraceptive implant fitted last july, and my periods stopped, completely until I got one this week. Period from hell too. How painful!!??!?!?
Is this normal? Does it mean its stopped working?

Irregular bleeding or no bleeds are both found frequently with the implant. The reference below gives some advice:

I dont think it has stopped working, If the pain gets to much then go and see the doctor but if you can bear it with pain killers then do and see what happens next month,
The implant isnt meant to stop your periods fullstop so you can never be sure when you will have one
Just make a note of dates when you came on etc and keep and eye on it..
