I filed my federal taxes online and didn't do the state taxes cuz they charge you for that. How do I file state txes? what for do I use for that? can I fill it out and then mail it in?

Depends on what state you live in. If your state doesn't collect income tax like Texas, you have no worries. State income tax return papers are usually at your local library or post office.

Fill out your state's income tax forms and then mail them in, or file online and either find one that'll do it for free or mail them on in.

Go to your state Department of Revenue. They may have a free efile link for them as well. Otherwise, you can download the forms you need from their website.
