Boys... well boys have lots to learn.
Men, however, should know how to cook. Men like food. Men like to eat food. It is pathetic when men can't make their own food.
Women, traditionally, have been the cooks in the home as part of their role as homemakers. That, of course is another issue altogether. But that doesn't mean they HAVE to be the only ones who can cook.
If you were to take the top chefs from all over the world, or even look at the Food Network, you'd see that there is nothing wrong with a man being capable of making good food.
Also, and I say this from personal experience my fellow guys, most girls would appreciate if a guy cooked for them... but if the guy took the time to learn to cook well, and put effort and love into cooking for them so that it was actually delicious... well most girls would LOVE that.

Boys should learn to cook?

Just because you add a ? at the end of some words does not make it a question. What you have said is a statement & not a question at all.
Perhaps this would be better:
Should boys learn to cook?

And yes they should, I can cook anything but wish I could.

Boys should learn to cook becasue it is easily the first "sellable" skill that a boy can learn. If you know basic food preparation (how to fry, bake, mix, measure, and read a recipe) you have a skill that can get you a job in ANY kitchen.

I know my father (a teacher) was very keen to make sure that both his boys knew how to cook. He prepared breakfast for us every day (eggs on Tues & Thurs) and cooked a full breakfast on Sundays for the family (pancakes, omlettes or eggs). He prepared dinner usually one night a week (Saturdays most often). In my house my wife and I split food prep about 50/50 and I am (humbly) a better cook than she is.

Frankly I beleive men make better cooks anyways becasue men have a certain way of sensory recall (the ability to remember tastes) that allows them to mix flavors in their brain and to anticipate what they will taste like. But that's just an opinion.

i think a guy must learn how to cook, and i'm a guy

first, i think that a guy gets really hungry very very easily so there is a point why we have to learn to prepare food for ourselves...and not wait for the opposite sex to do it

2. cooking wows the gals..

3. the time is changing and the kitchen no longer belong only to the women

4. guys are sometimes more daring when it comes to trying out new things like new recipes, so they might get really good

5. Cooking awakens someone...

I agree. In fact I do most of the cooking. I learned to cook because I was single, living on my own and needed to be able to feed myself. Now I'm a better cook than my wife.

Boys should learn to cook!
They need to know how to survive without their mother or another female.
These days a lot of girls can't cook either so they won't be able to depend on their wives, girlfriends, etc.
If they don't learn they will survive on fast food for the rest of their lives.
Economically it makes sense...a can of soup is cheaper than a hamburger and fries.
They can use their cooking skills to cook for their mother when she is old and feeble!

Of course boy's should learn to cook. Aside from being fun, it allows you to be more self-sufficient. Growing up, my parents insisted all of their kids should know how to do the basics. They should also know how to clean house, do their own laundry, manage their finances. I live alone, and cook every day. There is no mistake you can make in the kitchen that you can't correct. Besides, you save money, too.

My boyfriend cooks very well! and he does the dishes too...i think it is essential for guys to cook because when they are a bachelor, there isnt gonna be "mommy" around and pizza gets really BORING after a while...if a guy can just learn how to cook basic dishes i.e. spaghetti, soup, steak, they will be fine

plus its very attractive for a guy to be like "Would you like me to make you some chicken rice cassarole?"

How romantic!

plus cooking is another way to express creative energy...my boyfriend made a tator tot cassarole

Brown ground beef
add cream of cheese and cream of mushroom soups
cook tator tots until golden brown
layer tortillas in the bottom of the pan topped with leftover queso dip
add half of the tator tots
add half of the ground beef with more cheese
add the rest of the tator tots
add the rest of the beef with more cheese and bake in 350 oven for about 10 to 15 minutes

i was so wierd but surprizingly addictive...let him be creative!

if you dont like it, dont say you dont! JUST EAT IT!

Oh definitely they should! It's not a "girly" thing at all, most of the chefs in this world are men. And it's a great help to the family. And it provides self-sufficiency in college and in the post-college bachelor pad. And when they meet a woman, she'll be impressed that he has taste, and on top of that it's incredibly sexy to find a man who can cook better than me! (At times. Hee.)
