Well, I think you need to assess his perspective. If you've been dating for a year, it's possible he may be really looking out for you. Is your best friend a back-stabber?

It's also possible that he's trying to control your life.

Only you know the truth.

You might also consider bringing them together. Tell them that they are both important to you and you'd rather not to have to choose between them.

Good luck!

You have the right to hang out with anyone you want, but you have to ask yourself "Is my boyfriend right?" Look at what she may have done to earn the title of "backstaber."

You also should look at how your boyfriend is reacting, he seems like he's being awfully posessive if he dosent want you to see her, is this how he's going to act when it comes to most people, or is this an isolated incident? You have to ask yourself and be honest.

It would probably be best not to go behind his back, but be honest with him. It's what I did when my girlfriend took up a loathing of a good (female) friend of mine for making sexual comments about me, I simply told my girlfriend that I was't going to stop talking to my friends no matter how much I love her. (And that is immesurable) It made for a rocky couple of weeks, and to this day I know she isn't too happy with my decision, but things have stabled out, try that.

You can't stop looking with foresight, if it eventually came down to one or the other who would you choose? Ask yourself, honestly.

No, not at all. One of my exs hated my best friend and I was in a similar situation...he's gone...she's still here. Somethings not right with ur boyfriend. He's being immature and controlling. it's one thing to not like her but he has no right to tell u not to talkto her. u may wanna rethink the relationship.

I hate the whole best friend crap. Ditch her, keep the guy. Believe me, it's hard to keep a relationship going if you're partner hates someone alot.

Yes. You shouldn't have to do anything behind your boyfriend's back.

You need to either respect him or leave him. Otherwise one of you will be miserable.
