Such numbers are usually the database key from their billing system combined with other numbers such as date, account number, or in your case, the phone number. Phone companies also have some kind of a 10 digit subscriber identification number that is usually different than your phone number and remains constant even if you get the phone number changed or add lines. This number also finds place in bills from some phone companies. You shouldn't be really worried about what that is unless you are trying to hack into your phone and need SID/MID etc.
