We're meeting with the pianist for the first time Thursday evening in order to go over the music for the ceremony.

You would not believe what a struggle it has been over the ceremony music thanks to my ignorant future father in law, but I won't touch that. LOL

The music is going to be a bit more mordern. The mothers are going to be seated to my future father in law singing Billy Joel's "She's Got A Way".
I really want to walk down the aisle to Shawn McDonald's "Here I Am", but what about my bridal party? I'm completely clueless. I want something short and modern.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Just to clarify it, because I think the first poster got a little mixed up...This isn't for me to walk down the aisle to, it's for my bridal party.

What about The Beatles, "Something"

Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she woos me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how
Somewhere in her smile she knows
That I don't need no other lover
Something in her style that shows me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how
You're asking me will my love grow
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around and it may show
I don't know, I don't know
Something in the way she knows
And all I have to do is think of her
Something in the things she shows me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how

I just heard it overhead here at work, and it was just a piano. Really really pretty!!

I'd go with the same type of music. Here are some suggestions:
Isn't She Lovely-Stevie Wonder, Isn't it Romantic-Rodgers and Hart, Here and Now-Luther Vandross, or Endless Love...was originally done by Lionel Ritchie & Diana Ross, but was redone recently by I believe Mariah Carey, but you might want to look that up!

Where there is love... The Wedding Song

He is now to be among you
at the calling of your hearts
Rest assured this troubadour
is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits, here,
has caused Him to remain
for whenever two or more of you
are gathered in His name
there is Love, there is Love.

Well, a man shall leave his mother
and a woman leave her home
and they shall travel on to where
the two shall be as one.
As it was in the beginning
is now and til the end
Woman draws her life from man
and gives it back again.
And there is Love, there is Love.

Well then what's to be the reason
for becoming man and wife?
Is it love that brings you here
or love that brings you life?
And if loving is the answer,
then who's the giving for?
Do you believe in something
that you've never seen before?
Oh there is Love, there is Love.

(Short solo)

Oh the marriage of your spirits here
has caused Him to remain
for whenever two or more of you
are gathered in His name
there is Love, there is Love

REMEMBER .... this is you and your future husbands day... block out everyone else. i walked down to this song.... it was very nice... do what you want to do and try not to get tooo upset... just remind the "evil people" that they had their wedding, now you are doing YOURS! have a great day and enjoy the day!

What about "That's What Friends are For" or "With a Little Help from my Friends?"

Also: Goin to the Chapel or In My Life

Something would be a GREAT choice! The Beatles are pretty good for piano music. I used to beg my piano teacher to let me do Beatles songs because they're so pretty.
