I have a car payment that I pay every month on time, and I lost my job in December and called my finance company, told them the news and they said i qualified for a "deferment" Basically i skip a payment and they attach it on the back end(meaning when my car payment is paid, i make one more payment)......Do they report that ?

no, this will not affect your credit in a negative way. this is something your finance company did for you, probably cause you are a valued customer. Now if you make a late payment or skip a payment altogether , or decide to return the car because you cant pay, then that will be a negative mark. congrats on the new job!

deferment is when you need to put a bill on hold for a good cause and it dont go on your credit report unless you dont have good standards on your bill

well no, it doesn't hurt your credit, but be careful if they charged u a deferment penalty or accidently reported you as late
