If you met the other qualifications. Accepting Christ as your personal savior, believe that he is the Son of God, renounce Satan and his works, Be Baptized of Water etc. Taking care of your temple is simply taking care of yourself in a reasonable manner. Eating the right things exercising, washing it and the like. Your temple is also spiritual place. I will give you a Modern example of what I believe the scripture was talking about. Would you take Jesus to the club, Topless bar, and orgy if he were walking around with you in the flesh? I hope not but we do. When we go those places or engaged in activity that is not "legal in our current state" "SEX" We are violating the temple. If you are donating organ like that you are on the way out of here anyway and you will have no need for them in heaven. You are also allowing others to live via your sacrifice. Christ laid down his life for us all..and clearly his did not violate any spiritual laws. My only concern with donating body parts is that minorities may get "divied up" before you are done with the parts yourself. LOL I hope this helps. :)

I assume that you are a Christian. As a Christian, your body is not your temple, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Donating your organs would have nothing to do with going to heaven. Following your logic, an amputee would not be able to go to heaven.

Yes. The flesh passes away and the body as a whole will be reconstituted anyway at Judgment Day, so there should be no problem with donating organs. It's a noble thing we do when we perform such a selfless act and I'm sure God wouldn't mind.

Okay. This is in response to all the answers about organ donation. First off you can't be dead when they take out your organs for proper organ donation. Your alive and can feel as they cut them out. They don't give you any drugs because drugs can damage the organs. And Yes Its going to be painful and no you won't be able to do anything about it as they cut a dice a slice and your in extreme pain. Is organ donation sin? Yes. Anything that is not of faith is sin. You who approved organ donation don't know God for real.

Ha, ha! That's funny and a good thought, but I know you understand that this is not talking about a literal temple. Temples are thought of as holy and a place where respect is shown and respect is given. This is advise given to you, to help you understand that you should not do anything to your body that could be harmful or cause harm.

Like all "temples". gradually decay sets in and eventually it falls apart with age.If you wish to donate your organs, then that is fine and represents a very fine gesture on your part. You cannot donate your soul, that which is destined to live on thru eternity either in heaven or hell.

Christ taught that the "church" was not the bricks and mortar of the neighborhood place of worship, but the community of believers. Likewise, your body, although a temple, is just a house for the spirit. You can afford to lose a few of the "bricks" upon your death because you won't be needing that particular temple.
Or so I've heard.

Yes, you would still go to heaven. If have healthy enough organs to donate then already that means you took care of yourself. If you are donating them to save another life you are commiting a very selfless act!! That is definately something to be proud of and God appreciates you taking care of others in every way that you can.......as long as it does not hurt yourself.

I think of my body as a mere vessel. A vessel that my soul resides in. I'm to keep trying to keep it clean. I am to be careful of what I put into my vessel.
The bible says to love thy neighbor as thy self. What greater love could you give than a part of your body to someone else. If you are alive giving one kidney that you do not need shouldn't be a problem. A lady in my home town lost one at 25, she died at 94 with still that one kidney. If this is after your death then your soul is no longer in your vessel..
