Sounds pretty bad to me. They may not stay at any job for any length of time let alone have any functional life as a family because of the stress. What you are listing are three different problems and each one has treatments.
Believe what someone who is witnessing the same problem from an individual and it is them making up their own world and trying to live in it. They are better off trying to deal with themselves and arguing with themselves...and having professionals deal with them.

That's too broad. It depends on the extent of their disability. If they are unable to live on their own, there are MANY programs where they can be taught a job/trade and live in a supervised group home. Thousands and thousands, do.

certainly. but there are many diff types of mental illness/brain damage, etc. it depends a lot on what type it is; but there is something productive to do for everyone out there, i think.
