Need more info about disease that was called the Farmers Disease, it makes the immune system attack itself...?

Years ago, I know at least 20, people who worked and lived on farms would get this disease and they eventuallly called it Farmers Disease. But the human immune system would attack itself so to speak (espically the lungs). I know there is a medical term for the disease now, but I don't know it....any help would be appreciated.
