It does not sound like you are working out too much. You should not be checking a scale to determine your progress, however. Your gym should have an electronic BMI measurer which can tell you what percentage of your body is fat and that is the measurement for improving with excercise. If you have a lot of weight to lose, you will always start faster and then slow down. That is a healthy way to lose weight. Even if you are only losing a small amount each month, keep at it because you are more likely to KEEP it off if you lose it slowly. You might want to mix up your workout, however, if you do feel you are hitting a plateau. Make your cardio more intense or longer, for example. You should also be steadily increasing the amount of weight you lift.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! You need to change up your routine. By now, your body is used to the exercises you do. Change it up! Try swimming laps, playing basketball, boxing, etc. Make sure you're getting the nutrients you need, too. It is normal to hit a plateau like this. Break up your running. Run hard for 10 minutes, then stop and do some sit-ups, then run again, then push ups, then run.... you get the idea. Good luck!

It's true that as you lose body fat you are probably gaining mass (muscle). Are you on a restricted diet? Make sure you are also eating right and good luck to you!

You are probably losing inches, but are also building muscle mass, which weighs more than fat. Keep weighing yourself ~ That number will start dropping again, but also keep in mind how your clothes fit. If they're getting looser or fitting better, you're still doing great!!!!
Hang in there!

Don't rely on the scale. Start watching your measurements and the fit of your clothing.

exercise increases muscle mass, and muscle mass is heavier than fat.
