I have to ride of into exile soon, even if it is the rainy season here is Venezuela. My wonderful and saintly father has explained that is is necessary for me to ride side saddle in order to not look like a loose tramp and that horses are only for men. But I would like to be know that I am riding a godly animal as well. So, should I ride away on a llama or a donkey.

In Biblical times, the donkey was a symbol of peace, as opposed to the horse, which was a symbol of war.

I don't think that the llama symbolized anything.

God made both creatures. Had the hebrews had Llamas they would no doubt have used them. I don't think it would matter, really. If you're more comfortable on one or the other, take the comfortable one. I'm sure god wouldn't mind. If being uncomfortable deters you in your dealings with Him, would He like that?
I don't think it's How you get there, it's the reason you're going. Care more for how God see's you.
I know you are trying to honor your father. Do that. What harm can come from honoring your father? You'll honor God by honoring this man. "Thank you, God, for my father" , if that's truly how you feel. See? You've just honored God.
So, if you don't really have a problem with donkeys, ride the donkey.

The donkey will not only get you some terrific mileage, but you will not be a harlot either when you ride one.

Win Win

The donkey, but only if you can get it to talk like the one in Numbers.
