i gotta write an essay on a "how to" ...something?

it cant be too complicated but it cant be like how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich

it shuld be creative tho

im a freshman in college

i was gunna do how to tell if ur bf is cheating on u, but idk

any ideas?

I too, would go with something that everyone could relate to. What about something to do with cooking? Everyone eats, don't they?! I would love to learn how to make a particular dish by simply reading an essay!! Some other ideas I have are:

-how to make something - like made from scratch chocolate chip cookies
-what something that you and your family do as a ritual, maybe how to prepare a thanksgiving meal - just as your family does?

Okay..I did this in college too..I liked it!

Do something like How to apply makeup.

and make it creative but make it simple as well.

For example, we think of putting on makeup and think of it as a fairly simple process (or at least i do)
but what i did for my paper was to put down everything i did and realized there are a lot of steps that someone who has never done it before would not be aware of.
I would say something like

1) Pick up the bare minerals jar and unscrew the lid.
2)Set the Jar and lid face up on the counter and pick up the makeup brush.
3) Dip the brush into the bare minerals jar and swirl it around for 4 seconds.
4) Tap the brush on the side of the jar and set the jar down.

and on and on and on..
this is just the fastest example I could come up with in my head.
You could make it creative/sassy (for lack of a better word) by saying things like
"Now..Smile at yourself in the mirror to make sure nothing is in your teeth"
Or
explain putting on lipstick but blotting it off with a tissue. and then applying lipliner but smearing it with ur finger to blend it in..and then simply applying carmex to get the best look
(how rarely do we follow the exact instructions on makeup? we know what works, and we all have our own quirks)..haha.sorry about the rhyme.

Im thinking just these little unique ways of explaining how to do something yourself could make it creative, and less boring to read.

When I did a how to speech in high school, I did it on shaving. I did the demo on my boyfriend and only got half his face done. It could be kind of interesting if you include a mustache, etc.

Do something you like or something not everyone knows...like how to wash your vehicle yourself or sew a button or plant a tree or make a scrapbook.
