I think it probably has something to do with the Christians in heaven, not wanting them to get back in.
God - Hey guys I am thinking of letting those poor souls in hell come on up and get some releaf, its hot as hell down there and they are really suffering.
Heavenites - That's not fair, we gave up all the fun things in life to come up here. You can't change the rules now!
God - Yea but I can't enjoy my time here in paradise knowing that millions of my creations are continually suffering, it doesn't seem right.
Heavenites - We personally know that Vince Neil participated in extramarital affairs, and what about all the gays, the last thing we need is gays in paradise, it sounds like some kind of xxx movie. If you do this we are outta here......
God - Ok, Ok, if you can live in paradise with the knowledge that your friends and family members are being tortured continuously then its up to you, but I just want it on record that I think it is kinda cruel.....

Who says God doesn't?
The fundamental interpretation of the new testimate is just plain wrong. It's a money making, power grabbing method the churchies use you get into your pockets.
There are many, deeper meanings in the bible. And remember, on 4 of the books of the new testimate were written in the first century after Christ (Mathew, Mark, Luke and John). Actually, there were 39 other books of the early bible that church officials tried to destroy (these are the Lost Scriptures which have been recovered from Nag Hammondi)
So, about 700 AD, Pope Greggory took these 39 books out of the bible, then added all the rest (all of which were written well after Christ).
Don't blame God for the evils of humanity and church. Jesus said, "don't look for me in buildings of stone and wood. Break the stone and you will find me, split the wood and there I will be"

But he said to him, If they do not hear Moses & the Prophets neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead' Luke 16:31 From Lazurus & the rich man parable.
If you do not believe in God & hell, why are you interested in the afterlife? Do you want a second chance if hell is a reality? Jesus rose from the dead & ascended into Heaven. He paid a high price to save the world,He gave His life, why would he do so,if there was no after life? THAT'S LOVE, reject or accept, your choice. He is infinitely loving. He loves you.

Why wait until you get to hell to repent? It just proves that ones disbelief was so strong, and didn't want anything to do with God, and His Kingdom, that he had to be shown. You have every chance to repent right now. If a person is so determined to get to hell, why let him out. If He did, He would have to let everyone out, and It would be right back to where the world is today.

No need to. In Judaism "hell" is simply a short period of cleansing similar to the Catholic purgatory. Our God of vengeance condemns only the most evil of the evil to oblivion, but never to eternal torment. It's the kind and loving Christian god that condemns non-believers to eternal hell's fire.
All of us are brothers and sisters, but those of us who *chose* to be among God's holy people are bound by more obligations than other nations. We don't have more *privileges* as some people tend to believe.

Because if you had infinite chances the church wouldn't have you by the *** -- same reason they took reincarnation out of the original NT.

Before that happens you will have already stood before God at the judgment. And hell is the sentence. Personally when I stand before God as the judge, I want Jesus as my defense council.

He does give everyone a chance. If the earth life is about learning and growing...just why would this cease in an afterlife of any description?

How many chances does it take exactly? You have all the evidence you need now, you have a "chance" even now. It's up to you to open a present when you receive it. How stupid is it to just ignore a gift. Don't say you weren't warned...

He gives us all the time while we are alive, so long as we have breath in us. But the wages of sin is death, if you do not atone for your sins before you die, you perish. When you decide to go through your life without sanctifying yourself of sin, you intentionally decide to keep your sin and as so you are self-condemned. You decide where you will go in the afterlife, you will not be able to sweet-talk your way out of your own decision.
