The paper counterpart is half of your driving licence. The Police may accept it for your 'producer', but it's not guaranteed- definitely worth a try! A duplicate licence is £19 and takes about 3 weeks to come through, pick up a form from a main Post Office.

It's all on computer
Insurance companies, the police and the DVLA are all linked

REPORT IT LOST OR STOLEN! TO THE POLICE FOR A CRIME NO. THEN RING DVLA WITH CRIME NO. FILL OUT FORM FOR NEW PHOTO LICENCE. ALTHOUGH U DONT NEED UR PHOTO LICENCE FOR PRODUERS. JUST THE PAPER!!!
