It wasn't always this way. Nowadays, when you meet someone, it's exactly like a going on a g****mn job interview. I think it is important to get to know someone, and their background, of course, but it's the method and manner in which it is done these days that really makes me sick! Whatever happened to getting to know someone the NATURAL way, instead of this "job interview / resume" style that is so popular these days?

It's sad but it is because of time.
I don't have time to date someone for weeks/months to find out he's a felon, drug dealer, has tons of kids, is broke and needs my $, or lives with his mom.
The sad reality is now a days women don't NEED men, we want them, but don't need them.

My two cents:
I think there is a major lack of trust and romance nowadays. I think people are so eager to fit into the "normal" lifestyle of getting married in their twenties and having kids that they are basically trying to find a mate based on credentials rather than what they feel. Is he/she attractive? make enough money? etc. etc. Many people are scared to be alone and to trust their hearts rather than their brains. They are so scared of their feelings bieng hurt that they withold them and dates seem more like interviews.
A suggestion: try going on dates that are force you and the person you are with to have fun rather than interview one another. For example, instead of going for dinner, go bowling, dancing or even for mini golf. Enjoy a coffee together so you get a chance to talk, but do something interactive so that the person you are dating can relax and be him/herself. This might help ellivate what you are feeling.

When I go out on dates I just be myself. If a person likes my natural deminear then thats fine if they don't we are not a compatable match anyway.
