I don't mean the reading glasses you may find at CVS or Walmart. I currently don't have health insurance and need to save as much money as possible (also a full-time student).

Wearing non-prescribed glasses cannot damage your eyes, just don't get some that are too strong. Old people (like me) buy reading glasses that are not prescribed all the time.

No, you can't buy prescription eyeglasses without a prescription any more than you can buy medication without one.
Check the sunday coupon section of your local paper. Lots of times there will be coupons for big savings on eye exams and glasses.

Look into places are the mall that don't need insurance. I never had eye insurance and still had eyeglasses.

Look around for specials and places that include a free exam. It's not going to be the best, but you HAVE to get your eyes checked out.

you health is more important that that too you isn't it? Spend the money on the glasses as your talking about your vision. at least you can see. don't be a fool and cut corners in this area. there are other ways to cut corners.
