There are spirits that can read our minds, for sure, that's why our most inner prayers can be heard, but only those with very high enlightenment.
All the spirits in the Spiritual World have different levels of enlightenment and wisdom. Those not so enlightened stay closer to the Earth and to us in general. They can't read our minds, but they can communicate to us through thoughts, that's how we get inspired to do certain things. When we pray, we attract the higher level Spirits. There are also those spirits that have no enlightenment at all, they are lost in the Earth, they never believed in anything, they never trusted in Spirituality, they refuse to accept the fact they are dead, they have hate and revenge in their souls, so they sometimes stay around those they hate and, although they can't read our minds, they can influence in one's life by turning the person's thoughts and feelings confused.
The only way to stay tuned to good spirits is through prayers, good attitudes and good behavior, loving others, forgiving, being patient and tolerant. When we do those things we attract good spirits and keep bad spirits away.

Since we will all be of the same mind and spiritual body, we will not have to read minds.
The mind is a human tool, made of flesh, and full of sin.
We will have no " mind" or brain because we will have the Holy Spirit.
We will no longer see with our eyes, but with our Spirit and consciousness.

The afterlife is a thought world. Spirit can attune to spirit - one in the body, one out of it.

Interesting question...
Movies and popular culture would say yes (e.g. Dogma).
However, the Bible says that God knows, Angels watch, and saints hear our prayers. It says nothing about anyone, save for God, knowing our thoughts.
