My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 7 months. We're both law students, and I'm really happy in our relationship. The only thing is - I find myself wanting to be intimate with him a lot more than he seems to want to. We usually have sex 4 or 5 times a week, but I'm always wanting more. Last night, for instance, we were studying at the library until midnight. When we came back, he just wanted to go to sleep, but I didn't. I feel like I'm initiating things a lot...the difference, I guess, is when I initiate, he's not always into it, and I have to convince him. However, when he initiates, I'd better get in the mood because he's on a rampage. What can I do to get him to increase the frequency? How can I get him in the mood more often?

Hello... you're law students!!! I'm a few weeks away from finishing 1L, and a passionate week for me these days is when I have sex twice. Last semester, when I was first starting out, I don't think I had sex at all during the month of September!

Not really knowing anything else about you, I can't speak on whether your sex drive has anything to do with unresolved "issues" on your part. However, there doesn't seem to be a problem on your boyfriend's end. You should know that 5 times a week is already on the high side... especially for law students with tons of work to do. If you really need sex more than than 5 times a week, you really shouldn't be a relationship... you need two or three friends-with-benefits so they can "share the burden"! (ahem, I have no classes on Thursdays)

Regardless, I don't think you're being realistic by expecting your man to go at it more often than he already is... and you will probably freak him out by putting a lot of pressure on him. Go easy on the guy... a woman can fake arousal, but a man can't fake an erection.

when you think he isn't in the mood start to whisper sexy things in his ear that you will do for him. See if that helps.

You may need to talk to your doctor about it.
