having been at the brunt of domestic violence,i can tell you it is very hard, but what i should have done was call the cops but i did notand there are reasons for that, but if she is suffering so much and you are really scared then he needs to be stopped, she must call or you must. i hope everything works out for you both. xx

Does she have kids?
That may be why she won't leave him, the mothafucker may be threatening her with the children. I think you and her should install cameras in the house when he's out so that you guys can have more proof than her black eyes. Then take the tapes to the police. And she will need some psycological help after all the beatings. Make sure that you are comforting her, oh and when the guy is put in the slammer she should move from wherever it is she lives at. And move far from there so that he can't find her.
....Glad to help

What you can do is to find out where the nearest battered woman's shelter and when she wants out get her to that shelter as fast as possible. If you show up at her home and see fresh wounds call the police right away tell them what you see and that you will stay there until they arrive. Encourage her to leave when the police arrive. When the police arrive tell them your fears and what you have seen be calm and clear with your descriptions try not to get to emotional they may not like family disputes but forewarned is forearmed. You may lose this freind because she doesn't want your help or he tell her to drop you as a freind be supportive but if she says leave you must leave.

That guy is a coward and beats her to get power be aware of that if you are around when he starts to beat you are in danger, call the police and tell them what is happening make them believe it is happening right then and there and that you fear for your and her life, get a weapon ,because he can and will hurt you also, to defend yourself and her, if you fight back and hurt him you will get him to back down tell him you've called the police.
Don't let your guard down until the Police arrive don't believe anything he says about being sorry or that nothing happened and he won't do it again. When the police arrive be clear and concise with your statement the police will understand if your voice quivers and shakes they will take you away from thre scene to calm you down .

The most important thing it to get help for both of her ASAP she may go back only end the freindship if you feel that you can't help or she doesn't want help and inthe back of your mind you have to keep the knowledge that you may have to go to a funeral as sad as that may be.

I hope that your friend gets help she needs a friend like you.

Contact the police, contact a lawyer, contact social services, find out about shelters and places she can go, get as much info as you can on domestic violence. Arm yourself with all the facts, then present them to her. All the laws, statistics, and facts. Show her how she can escape this abusive relationship and start her life new. Half the problem is not knowing where to go, safely getting away from the abuser. She is convinced he will hunt her down and kill her. And he will try too. You had better think long and hard on this, and be prepared ahead of time, its quite a battle your in for. I will say a prayer for the both of you.

Put her in contact with the local Domestic Violence agency in your area-look in phone book. They are professionals at helping women in her position. She will need lots of help or at least moral support if she leaves him try to be there for her.Encourage her to call the police when he beats her and to not lie when asked what happened. The bottom line is that she has to do it-she has to get the courage to walk out the door and not return. The average woman leaves 4 or 5 times before not going back even when abuse is rampant.

dude call the cops and report the abuse for her.

the reason that she dont want to leave is that she is afriad if him.

or you can get some of your male friends and teach him a thing or 2 or 3 about hitting a women.

remember you are the bigger man in this situation.

do the right thing

also you two can pack some things and just leave

that is always the easy way

If you have witness the abuse, you should report it. If you have not witnessed the abuse, you must encourage her to report it, file charges and get a restraining order.
Encourage her to seek help with domestic violence organizations. They can help her escape. By no means let her come to your house. He'll probably hunt her down and you are both in the ICU. Stop seeing her until her issues are straightened out. Be supportive from a distance.

You are not gonna want to hear this, but there is nothing you can do until she is ready to leave him.

Either she will get sick of being beat like a dog and move on, or she will stick around until he paralyzes or kills her.

You cant get directly involved because you'll make the situation a whole lot worse, but you have to convince her to go the police.
