How long does it take to die completly after overdosing on a box of 12 pain killer tablets?

god im not going 2 commit suicide i was just asking for other reasons

Life is not so good huh... Trust me... The guy on the other side of the screen... It will get better. It will. You just need to believe it.

Put the pills down. Flush them away, and go do some voulenteer reading of The Cat in The Hat at a local elementray school.

Little kids in Kindergarden will show you faster than anyone else that life is all about what the lunch lady is serving that day.

If none of that is working... pray.

Well what kind did you have in mind? Now if your belly is empty and you chew them, it should only take minutes to start burning through your stomach lining and ruin your liver. Unfortunately, you'll have to live through the most horrible pain in your life while waiting for them to get into your blood stream and into your heart muscle. You'll vomit violently and have an incredible thirst for about two hours and in that time while you are waiting to OD, your body functions will begin to shut down and you will will experience, while still conscious, Urinating and and discharging of your bowels only minutes before you close your eyes to sleep eternally. Idiot!

Why would you even SERIOUSLY ask this Q.! I commited suicide by overdose 5yrs. ago- had problem's dealing w/ my mom's death-Such a STUPID act(on my part) believe me, if your actually thinking of this, after you do it, you'll be like," what the H*** did I just do?!?!" CAN'T take it back! THANK GOD!- I did'nt suceed!! Hope noone here is dumb enough to give true advise on this topic!! It depends on how you took them.

Did you take them with a LOT of water? It will take around 30-45 minutes to start to feel anything.

Did you check them up? Think: 15-30 minutes to feel anything.

Do you take them with a sip of water? It will take 45-60 minutes.

And that's not for killing yourself. That's for FEELING AN EFFECT of a pill. If you want to kill yourself, overdosing is a terribly painful death. Ever had your stomach pumped? Yeah, it sucks.

I think it depends on what kind of pills they were. Also, the bigger question to ask yourself (or who ever did this) is why do they want to kill themselves? Help is out there if you (or they) need someone to talk to. Whoever you choose to speak with can not tell your parents anything you say to them, as long as its a school therapist or a licensed professional. And they are out there and some work out of county health departments.
Please tell your friend that they aren't alone (or crazy) if they do seek professional help. Many people have sought help in tough times.

12 might not be enough - depends on the miligrams and what they are. It can take a while. My friend shot up oxycontin and didn't die for a few hours. He went home, went to bed, and never woke up.

if you are looking to kill yourself there are less pain full ways, though my friend when she tried to od on over the counter pain killers would have been dead by morning if her family didn't get her stomach pumped...but she also took a full bottle of 36 i believe
