i've read that some birds have sex n some don't. how do birds reproduce if they don't have sex?

I had a male parakeet that would fly out of it's cage and if I was sitting in the recliner he would land on my foot and start rubbing his butt on my foot and spitting up seeds. LOL. It was crazy. His eyes would glaze over and he'd rub his butt until he was done. I would try and get him off my foot, but he would bite me.

i think by not having sex it means they dont actually 'connect', cockerels dont actually have the same reproductive organs as humans because theirs are stored inside near their kidneys, they transfer the sperm by spraying it into the hens vent
