those who are going to pray for me.....will you do me a favor and pray to my calf? I think the prayers will be more effective that way.

In this day and age, you could just buy one already made. Try ebay. If you find a golden cat, gimme a shout.

Ok so here's what we gotta do- first we gotta get gold. I think that people would donate their gold if we told them we were making a statue of god (we obviously wont tell them which god) then we gotta make a mold- this is gonna be the hard part- I don't know waht material to make it out of but I'm sure we could figure it out with a google search. Then we heat the gold until it's liquid and put it in the mold. After it's cooled, Voila! That'lll be one golden calf with a side of haha you donated your jewelry for this!! Or we could just sculpt it and paint it gold- I think that's kind of a cop out though

A better question is: 'why' build a golden calf?! It WAS the age of 'the bull'. What happened that aaron took the hebrews gold and fashioned a calf instead of a bull...??
By the way: he never GOT IT that he FAILED as a leader !!! Cried and whined that Moses got all the glory....samaria, a pagan community, that the Jews hated; was founded to follow aaron, as priest. Totally self deluded and dishonest; but, they did it. It still goes on today.

First, beg, borrow or steal all of the gold in town, the night before you leave. Second, pray that God will destroy the owners of the gold that will chase you across the river. Steal a cow to use as a model.

With molds I would assume, first I suggest you begin to gather gold (knowledge)! and not allow others to assume you are of the fools on a crooked path- Now you have every right to do what you chose paying for the consequences too!

The golden calf reference was symbolic. Materialism is a golden calf. Spirituality is the opposite and works to make our lives balanced.

Let me know when you get it done.....I love dancing around idols.....can we have fire too? and drums.....must have drums. We can pray for all the others who don't believe in the calf for they will surely be punished.

Unfortunately we live in a sad sad world and you can only get stearling silver with gold plating. I don't know if that works as well though.
But you know...I bet you can find one on Ebay!! Everythings on ebay.

You could try to forge one. And then there is casting one. Perhaps you would like to get some gold first?
