The fact that u ended what i thought was a serious question with "wink wink" annoyed me

If it;s a way of making a quick few quid then dont do anything because what you'll be doing will be fraud!!!!

It's not a case of if you were hurt, it is a case of if the bus company was neglectful. Was there oil on the stairs or something that made you slip?

If it was your own fault and you just lost your footing, then you don't stand a chance.

To be honest I dont think you will be able to claim. Most buses have warning signs about the steps, and it really isnt the bus companies fault that you are clumsy. And also think about the implications, if people start claiming for everything, for example buses, the fares will rocket and this will directly affect your pocket.

And what about the trauma you caused to the bus driver as you tumbled past him? Is this poor chap/chapess not deserving of your sympathies? Flagellation is the only way forward for you, the only way your soul will be purged of this compensation demon!!

Sue the bus company. Did they fill in any sort of accident report when it happened? Have you any witnesses?

you call the bus company and explain what happened what time and what bus they will send it to there insurance company, they should at least compensate you for you medical bills.
