find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

It's Ironic on how many different answers you get when you ask a question like this. I am far from an expert but I do know this, trying to lose weight is bad because you will gain it back faster than you took it off. You have to want to change your habits in eating and lifestyle, then and only then will you be able to lose the weight and keep it off. I did try something that may help you but you have to want the change. Change the way you eat. Eat the amount of food you eat at dinner for Breakfast, eat a regular lunch and a very light dinner. Drink lots of juice to help fight sugar cravings and drink water with every meal.
Also, cut out salt and sugar and soda. I stopped drinking regular soda and I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks. I drink a mangosteen juice, lots of water, and I walk 20 minutes 3 times a week to maintain my health and my weight. I have also heard that an herb from South Africa called Hoodia helps the stars stay thin. But the key thing is that you have to want to change your lifestyle inorder to lose the unwanted pounds.

Did you go to that website I told you about? It's not a fad diet it's just eating healthy. 'Diet' is a loose term. Whatever you eat is your 'diet'. Changing your diet is obviously what you need to do to lose weight. Pills to lose weight is never a good idea. The fastest way I found was to eat more times a day but all healthy. When I say healthy I don't mean dairy products, meats, biscuits and gravy and such. I mean brown rice, greens, veggies, beans and even juiced veggies and fruits. I don't mean the juice you find in the grocerie store. It has a ton of sugar added and it loses the phytonutrients you need in ONE day. Many canned items have tons of sodium in it to preserve it and keep you from suing them. That's why you have to drain and rinse canned items. Sodium is the silent ingredient that makes you gain weight as well. Look at the website http://www.garynull.com

I've lost a lot doing 45 minutes of Cardio everyday.
Plus: anti-oxidant green tea... cereals for breakfast... and lean meals.
The formula is always the same. And it's older than the pills.
I don't take pills either, and I won't.
They have too much caffeine in it... which could give you also kidney problems.
So... I would go with the healthy way of it.
And... I honestly don't believe that exercise doesn't work.
It depends if after exercising you eat at McDonald...!!!
You need to do BOTH: excercises & healty food.

3500 calories=1lb. That's 500 calories a day you need to cut in order to lose 1 lb a week. If you exercise on top of that, you'll lose even more. It's scientifically proven. Pills are temporary. If you try to lose weight any faster than this, you will just hurt your body and gain the weight back, probably more. Hope this helps!

Don't eat carbs! These include white bread, white rice, sugar, potatoes.
Eat brown rice, whole grain or lite bread.
Don't eat after 6:00PM.
Get a form of exercise, if you don't already. Take brisk walks and/or jog. It will speed up your metabolism.
Drink at least 40 oz of water a day, 8oz at a time throughout the day.
Eat steamed vegetables such as Birds Eye that cook in the bag. Eat chicken breasts, tuna, or Tilapia. The chicken and tilapia you can bake in the oven.
Do these things and you will lose weight within a reasonable amount off time. Good Luck!

In order to loose weight you have to take a holistic approach. First you must learn to eat a healthy diet, To loose weight I would recommend 1200 - 1600 calories a day. Check out the American Diabetes Associations web site and learn to eat healthy. Forget about the dreaded "Diet", this is means you deny yourself certain foods for short term weight loss. When you loose the weight you go back to eating the way you did before and gain back your loss plus usually more.

One trick is to divide you dinner plate into 4 parts, 1/4 of the plate is for your meat (protien), 1/4 of your plate is for a carb (Potatoe or rice) keeping in mind you only want 1 cup of rice or pasta or one medium baked potatoe. The other 2 halves are for veggies and greens.

Another tick, Stick to the outside of the grocery store, shop only in meats, dairy, fresh produce, some bakery (whole wheat breads) and only go into the aisle if you need saundries like Veg Oil, toliet paper etc.

The third trick is to increase your activity, you say exercise is not for you. But how about 15 minute walk 2 times per day, this is a great way to increase your metobolism and help use the glucose your body produces when you eat.

Learn to eat in moderation, smaller meals, more frequently and add activity into your life style not only will you loose weight but will feel better.

Strange as it sounds-eat more. If you eat 5 small meals a day you're metabolism is always going. Plus when you don't eat your body starts to go into preservation mode and the next thing you eat will be stored as fat. Here's a good diet plan:
Breakfast when you get up (its very very important...even if its just a fruit smoothie)
lunch : turkey wraps are good, salads with nuts, (the main thing is to have a balanced meal)
mid day snack- yogurt, nuts, grapes, something small, but healthy
dinner- again the main point is to balance it out. don't eat chicken with mashed potatoes and rice (one or the other is better) and always a veggie
snack before bed- they have whole fruit bars which are really good. frozen yogurt...
you get the idea. I've done a lot of research on nutrition and taken a few classes on it as well.

"Exercise dont work for me"---does that mean you don't DO it? Because exercise in the right amount works for everybody. You must eat less and exercise more to lose weight. There is no magic way to do it. Stay away from the pills. They do other bad things to your body. If it's important enough to you, you will get into an exercise routine and you will change your eating habits. If it isn't, you won't, and you won't lose the weight. It's simple. It isn't EASY, but it's simple.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck!
