I have had this probelm since I was a toddler. I get red splotches all over my body that feel hot and itchy. Sometiems I get it if I am angry or upset. I get it when I drink, some alcohol makes it worse than others. I have it when I get out of the shower. Most of the time i get it for no reason at all and it's a little embarrasing. It mostly shows up on my chest and face. I am latina/american and I am in my mid twenties. Anyone else have this problem??

I went on a date recently and was embarrased when I got out of the movie theater and it looked like i had some sort of rash and my ears were on fire. Not fun!

The red spots aren't raised and they tingle. It goes away shortly after it starts most of the time. It never stay for more than an hour or two.

Since I have had it the majority of my life I know that perfumes and detergents don't effect it at all. I've tried going without perfumes and only using hypoallergenic detergents and it hasn't helped.

I get the red itchy blotches, after showering. You could have a simple heat rash thats easily brought on... When you have heightened emotions like anger and being upset, your body temperature goes up slightly because you tend to move more when angry, and the sobbing will cause you to respire more and warm up that way. So that could also bring on a heat rash if you are really sensitive to heat rashes.

As for the alcohol, no idea, but the movie theatre, maybe its warm in there and brings on a heat rash again...

Think the red blotches are caused by your blood vessels rising to the surface of the skin, to lose heat. Thats basically your standard heat rash, should go and see your doctor about it if its really bothering you. It may not seem like much, but physical things like that can really knock your confidence, and the doctor cares for your mental health as well as your physical.

Sounds like hives. May be aniexity induced or due to something in your diet. Go to a dermatologist or an allergy specialist.

well, try switching to a non-allergy landry detergent. you may be allergic to purfumes to.
alcohol just makes your blood travel faster.
even switching detergents will take a while to clear up.
don't use to many purfumes either, it may make it worst.
