I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one having this problem! My son is 21 months old, and this is the third time in two months that he's completely lost interest in eating! I think today he has eaten about 5 bites of chicken, 3 bites of diced peaches, and about 3 bites of a peanut butter sandwich! But... he has had about 13 oz. milk, about 12 oz. of juice/water mix, and a bottle of Chocolate Pediasure! Some days he just wants to drink! He just had a huge growth spurt (2 inches in the past month), so I guess he is just slowing back down... I bet your daughter is doing the same. At least she is eating healthily! If you are really concerned about her getting the right nutrients, I recommend Pediasure, it comes in several flavors and is full of the vitamins and nutrients she needs!

Just keep on offering, when she is hungry enough she will eat it. Watch the juice however it is a good way to take the enamal off of her teeth. She should only have about 9 oz. of juice a day. She is atleast eating her vegetables and that is not bad. Try offering her some chicken and brown beans are a good source of protien, also a good meat substitute. Also, if you watch her closely you will see that soon after a big appitite surge she has a growth spurt. All children go thru times when their appitites slow down and increase it is actually no big deal.

TOTALLY NORMAL! My daughter went from being a GREAT eater, everything in sight to being incedibly picky. We went through a phase where she gave up the bottle, only wanted apple juice in a sippy cup (with handles, mind you) and would eat arrowroot crackers. This lasted 5 or 6 weeks. Then she went back to normal. Your daughter will eat when she is hungry. Remember that you determine what and when she eats, she determines IF and how much. Keep offering healthy foods and only expect 3 GOOD meals a week from her.

At this age your daughter's growth isn't as rapid as it was when she was a baby so she won't be taking in the huge amounts she used to. She is also trying to assert her independence. Keep offering the foods you want her to eat and she will eventually try them. By the way, apple juice and milk, crackers (try whole wheat ones) and peas is a fairly healthy diet for a little one (just make sure the milk is whole milk).

She may be drinking her calories and not need to eat. Try taking away juice and snacks and only allowing 2 to 3 cup of milk and then just water if she is thirsty and only allowing her to eat "real food". This willl help you to determine if she has truly lost her appetite. Also remember her stomach is only about the size of their fist which means that they only need to eat about a fourth of what an adult does.

talk to her Doctor about it and they can give you some suggestions but as long as she is drinking plenty of fluids and eating something she will be fine. kids just go through that sometimes. at least she is not wanting to eat junk food...LOL. will she eat fruit? how about a fruit smoothie? homemade of course. try this> frozen organic blueberries, orange juice, and some vanilla yogurt and a few peices of ice and blend it up and it is very healthy and it like a drink so maybe she will drink that. you can also use other fruits/veggies try putting carrot juice in the mix too. hope this helped

Toddlers are notoriously fussy eaters!
Remember the advice about their small stomachs, and their slightly slower growth at this stage. I agree that maybe you should cut back the fluids a bit, as they might be filling her small tummy and leaving her not hungry for more filling foods.
But there's worse that she could be demanding, at least there's good healthy food on her plate. Maybe try some soy or tofu or other protein substitute if she's fussy about the texture of the meat and you worry about her protein.

that's a tough one, cause I think all toddlers go through that phase. I wouldn't pressure her and make meal time a fight, cause that will cause her to dig her heels in and fight more. i would continue to offer her balanced meals and let her see the rest of the family enjoying a variety of foods. She will come around. Offer her lots of healthy snacks but don't push anything one her. there is a little milk shake type drink that's very nutritious you could try to see that shes getting vitamins.
Good luck, they can sure be stubborn at that age!

She might be sick. Have you gotten her checked out? Also, sometimes babies just go through a phase and not want to eat anyhting, but as long as she is getting something in her stomach, I really wouldn't worry
