I have an air walker, abz shaper and exercise bike.

What benefits do each have and are they aiding cardio vascular, toning and upper body workouts.

I am not trying to weight train as such, just tone up a little bit more and get more fit for the summer. I want to work the majority of my body but am not interested in weight training.

Does the air walker and exercise bike do the same or does the air walker do more upper body.

The air walker and the excercise bike are primarily cardio workouts. You will get some muscle toning in the legs from both. THe Ab shaper is working the abdominal muscles and some core muscles for toning. You will need to add strength training like weights or resistance for your upper body.

With the bike and walker you will only burn fat and increase your stamina. I'm afraid I disagree with the first answer, because non-resistive exercise will not tone your muscles - men's and women's muscles act the same in so far as they will not respond to thousands of reps from non-resistive motions.

The best advice is to join a gym and get some instruction on using cables and dumbells for upper body toning.

A very good, all-round workout can be had at home with just a modest set of adjustable-weight dumbells. Have a google for some exercises to do with these if you choose to go down that route.

Also, I'm not a fan of 'abz shapers' and other such devices; all you need is an incline bench and a medicine ball. Actually, I first got six-pack abs from simply doing situps on my carpet, with my feet under a dumbell and a 10Kg weight plate on my chest.

I disagree with the disagree'r. At least partially. If you own this equipment by all means use it. The air walker and bike will stress your cardio more, thus burning fat and toneing muscles giving you a leaner more fit body. The abz shaper will help build core muscles. None will do much for upper body you could add weights or some resistance excersizes for this area. Personally I like trail running and mountainbiking but its what ever works for you that counts.

I think most of the muscles can be efficiently worked out with the help of ground exercise and just with dumbbells and barbells. And don't stick to machines coz doing ground/body weight exercises are always the best coz you can do it no matter where you are.
