Its really bad. He only gets water and 1 glass of juce through the day. He gets milk in the morning and at night. I know that smelly urine has to do with how much water intake you get and he get plenty. Is there any thing else I could do? Like give him different foods or is he lacking a vitamins?

My daughter had foul smelling urine a couple of months ago. She had to consume more water. (we now leave a sippy of water on her bedside table for night time and have water bottles all over the house) she also had to but back on starchy foods. (pasta, potatoes, chips/french fries, oatmeal...) and bananas. This seemed to work (took a couple of days though)
If it is really bad smelling and dark yellow (like morning pee) or clear (like water) I would go and see the doctor.

This happened to my younger sister often as a child. I would assume that your son may 1.) Have a UTI/ bladder infection or 2.) Is lacking in a vitamin. I would talk to your peditrician and see if they can run some tests on your son. My only other thought is that I know this is often a symptom when my partner's diabetes are acting up and her sugar's are through the roof....Good luck.

I would talk to his Doctor about it and she what she/he says about it. if he gets plenty of water then maybe he is lacking some kind of vitamin what kind of diet is he on? how old is he? how much water does he drink through out the day? is it bottled water or tap water?

Is he teething?

Can be a sign of that too... or has he had a strong odour food?
