No, because I don't see that anybody would help Iran. If Iran goes and provokes a war all on its own, no sane country would assist it and thus escalate the conflict.
I don't see it happening.

All of you are in effect of American TV networks and their publicity.Iran needs nuclear energy only for Irenic goals.Have you ever seen Iran(Persia) on the map?Iran is a vast country and needs a lot of energies like electricity so don't pay attention to lies that you hear.
Other thing that I should say is that go and study historical books about Persia(Iran) and then judge.Iranians were always irenic people. But you americans were always trying to cause wars like Iraq war or war between Iran and Iraq and cause Coup D'etat in Iran and many other countries.
Now judge yourself.

Iran is desperate to prove itself a leader in middle eastern politics. The economic sanctions appear to be working, and the Iranian people are getting a little tired of the rhetoric of their president. I think that the capture of the British sailors was a way of trying to get to face to face talks...
Ahmadinajad is just crazy...I can't figure him out, and also because he is a puppet of sorts to the radical Mullah's, it's difficult to really know what is going to happen next.

WW III started on 9-11-01. Ever sense then, the radical Muslim clerics have been boasting that they are going to take over the world and one of them even said after the world, they were going to spread Islam into the universe.

It doesn't have to. We (USA) need to take care of Iran by using any method, including nukes. Take care of the issue before it becomes a problem. If Iran wants nukes I would be glad to deliver them nukes, If you think they would not use them first your crazy. The will use them the first chance they get them.

I think WWIII is likely, but it would be a re-write of history to say it is just Iran's actions. HISTORICAL review. US installed Shah in Iran, who was cruel dictator, and eventually overthrown...Iran wanted to have their own governement. (Iran Contra) Then, under Regan, Bush I, (Rumsfield) the US had very friendly relations with Sadaam. He was used to hold Iran in check, and the US helped Iraq in its war against Iran. We gave or sold weapons and chemicals, we shared satelite info so that they could aim weapons That's when Sadaam used chemical weapons against Iran killing hundreds of thousands, when Kurds rose against Sadaam, they thought the US would support them, but we stood by for their slaughter. Then, Project for New American Century, Clean Break, and Military/Industrial Complex ties in with Pentagon. Fast Forward to 9/11. The Iranians COOPERATED WITH US. They also had issues with Osama Bin Laden and wanted to take him out. Their president has sent 2 friendly letters via the Swiss, wanting to talk to the US, but our administration says NO TALK. The Iranians had allowed nuclear inspectors, up to just recent weeks. At one point, those inspectors said there wasn't imminent threat, and if there were to be nuclear weapons, it would be 10-15 years in the future. In addition, the Iranian people have stated they don't want war, and they actually like the US people. Dianne Sawyer and others have gone there, and have been welcome. The Iranians are a young group of people, they are like us. They show us the insides of their homes and say "Why do we want weapons when we are living in poverty?" Why are we so willing to listen to a few people who say we are supposed to hate/distrust a country? Why are we listening to an administration that leaks the name of a CIA agent whose purpose was to monitor Iran Nuclear capability. Do you blame Iranian gov for thinking they need a nuclear deterant...Remember We have been aggressive on them. Recall in the news where US troops went into an office that was being set up for an Iranian diplomat, and siezed them? What happened? We sent warships to Persian Gulf Dec 06, and 2 more were there last month. Not necessary for Iraq war...It was to intimidate Iran. Yesterday, they practiced war maneuvers, as if there was air attack on Iran. The US is talking about using tacticle nuclear weapons on them. Iranians took some Brits. Admit it. Suspicious. Why were Brits that close? Isn't the Iraq front on the sands of Iraq? Why aren't we talking? Easier to just Nuke them, right? Guess what. Russia is telling us NO. They have stated that they have interests in Iran. China relies on Iran for oil. China no longer needs us. We have given China the technology, the money for war, and we have not given them democracy. They have no allegiance to us. If there is WWIII. This is how it stands: China, Iran, Russia against US. Our allies might be UK (but, Tony no longer has people behind him) Australia leader on our side, but not the people. Israel. Who else? Who is with us now? So, time to get smart, neos. Vietnam, Iraq show results of guerilla tactics. Hiroshima, Nagasaki show us Nuclear results, Iran and Kurd show us chemical results. What do you choose? Is there alternative? Step up,neos. Your president, not mine, wants WWIII. Take your minds and wrap it around this scenario. US in recession, oil and gas skyrocket. Where does that leave you.

I tend to doubt if we will ever have another WW. It wouldn't make sense. We have enough to blow up the entire world and some other countries have enough to blow up the world. So where does that leave us? We can't use ours and they can't use theirs. A stand off. As long as we have this technology available we can't destroy ours and they can't destroy theirs. And now I'm stuck in the middle with you.
