Well i've had my share with 2 kidney infections and the meds do take time. They should of given you some urgency pills. It's kind of like the AVO pills you buy over the counter but these are a little stonger an turn your pee blue. They help so much. Call your doctor and get them to call you some in if you have already been to the doc to get your other meds. They should just be able to call them in for you plus it saves the horrible trip to the doctor again.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

I would go back to your doctor, sometimes you need to be hospitalised if kidney infections don't clear up in a few days, so they can get you back to health and give you the treatment you need.

My best friend had the same problem and they prescribed her to drink clear or white fluids (no dark sodas) and juice. But then she was still in pain. They checked her again and she had a urinary track infection. Ask the doctor about it!

Yahoo is not the place to ask medical questions like this. Call your doctor first.

make sure you drink enough fluid too to clean out your system. I had one too and drinking fluid helped.
