She was checked by the dr. no virus or anything so she said it was most likely teething (although she didnt do this with her first 8 teeth) and i DO NOT feed my child junk. She has never had fast food in her life and eats a very health diet. no pops or sports drinks. The dr just said sometime small children will get a case of diareah every one in a while. She doesnt act like she feels bad at all but i can tell its making her bottom red. which im sure does not feel good at all!

I would bring her into the dr's office if it's been going on for a week or so. And please remember to keep your child hydrated with plenty of liquids since diarrhea can cause dehydration and electrolyte (minerals such as potassium) imbalance. I'm not sure about immodium for children which her dr can perhaps talk to you about, but it's quite effective for adults. I've heard that lamodil is a good anti-diarrheal medication, however, it can be addictive since it's like a sedative. So if your dr prescribes it, please do follow the instructions.
As for her bottom being sore, I was told that vasoline should Not be used on the bottom area as it's oil based and can dry out the area. Perhaps you can ask her pediatrician if you can safely use a product such as preparation-H wipes (slightly different ingredients than the ointment) for her bottom until her bowel is under control. As for diet, the general diet for that problem is the BRAT diet: bananas (as you mentioned ;) rice (plain), apple sauce, and tea (or toast). I like to also eat other seemingly easy-to-digest foods such as plain jello, rice pudding, and clear ice popsicles (Not cream-filled). I'm really hoping that your baby feels better real soon!

Stop the anti diarrhoea remedy. Despite the truth she's generating watery stools it feels like she's constipated, and just a small quantity of liquid stool can break out- the the rest of the stool is being left in the back of in her frame. Anything to hinder or quit diarrhoea will truthfully make this worse. Give her a nutrition of prime-fibre meals for a couple of days and notice how she will get on.

Just went thru the exact same thing with my 15 month old, turned out to be an ear infection. He had no other symptoms execpt he vomited once and had diareha al day, so bad that his bottom started to bleed a little, which scared the crap out of me, so I took him to urgent care, they looked in his ears and saw the infection. He got Azythromycin for the infection and nystacin ointment for his diaper rash, and I had to shower him in the tub everytime he pooped instead of wiping him. buy huggies disposable wash cloths and just dab away the chunks ( i know, eww) and rinse away the rest, then when you get her out of the shower, I slathered on cheap petroleum jelly and wiped away whatever else i missed. then the nystacin and he was good to go! ever heard of the brat diet? Bananas rice applesauce and toast. Stops diarehha because it binds them up and is very bland. Nothing else but pedialyte for 2 days at least too. Just take her in and have her ears checked trust me give her some tylenol now though to stop the pain of whatever it is, even if its just the diaper rash for now.

Here is a recipe my doctor gave me for diaherra:
Cereal-Based Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT)
On average, infants and children suffer 2 bouts of diarrhea each year. Diarrhea can become a serious medical concern if dehydration results from the rapids fluid loss. To prevent dehydration, mix up the cereal-based ORT solution below and offer it to your child at the first sign of diarrhea.
Cereal-based ORT Solution
1/2 cup to 1 cup Infant Rice Cereal
2 cups (16 oz) water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1. Using a 1/4 measuring teaspoon, accurately measure salt, leveling with a knife. Dissolve salt in water.
2. Gradually add cereal to the water until the mixture is as thick as is drinkable. Mix well.
Offer the ORT solution after each diarrheal stool. Infants need about a half cup, older children a full cup. Discard the mixture after 6 to 8 hours or if it becomes too thick to drink.
If your child is vomiting, offer the mixture in small amounts (1/2 to 1 teaspoon) every few minutes. If the vomiting occurs more often than every 45 minutes, call your pediatrician for further instructions.
You can continue to breast or bottle feed your baby during a bout with diarrhea. Children old enough to eat solid foods can continue iwth their regular diet, expecially starchy foods like cereals, breads and pasta, and potassium-rich bananas. Avoid fruit juices, sports drinks, carbonated beverages and foods that are high in sugar.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (APP) recommends starting oral rehydration therapy immediately and continuing feeding during a bout with diarrhea. Cereal-based oral rehydration is an inexpensive therapy that can shorten the duration of your child's diarrhea.
Adapted from the training manual for treatment and prevention of childhood diarrhea with oral rehydration therapy, proper nutrition and hygiene. International child health foundations, inc and Gerber.

Whenever a baby is teething they go through the whole diarrhea stage, but with he being one it shouldn't still be like that. Are you sure she doesn't have a virus or something? Maybe you should get her checked out, cause a week straight is a long time for diarrhea
