Scam. The check will bounce and they will try to get bank info.

You can't win a contest you didn't enter. No company just goes around handing out checks to random people.

And this sounds like total BS.

So...why wouldn't they just take the money out of your winnings instead of sending you a separate check to pay fees?

We received that this morning, same stamp too, but it was from Portfield Financial & Trust Services. The check was from CitiBank for $2,910.75. So we called CitiBank and they said just turn it over to the cops. We pretty much knew it was a scam becasue we never win anything, none the less $45,000. Sure woulda been nice though...

This is a very common big time scam. Take the info you got to your local post office for them to investigate.
I am a banker and we see this all the time. The check for $1,980.00 will come back for NSF fund, stop payment or whatever. The only thing you get is to be is embarrassed and loose your money. Please don't buy into this.
