contracted; I can't get it to work at all even after reinstalling windows. Any help will be apperciated.

Thanks everyone; Good answers but none of these will help I don't have a recovery disk. Gimp is to large of a download for what I need. And in moving a few times the original disk have been tossed. My copy is registerd in my name; so does anyone know of a way to download just mspaint.exe;? I am also running on a windows 98 platform.

You need to uninstall mspaint first
Then reinstall mspaint

Below are steps on how you can install or uninstall mspaint.

Click Start / Set Program Access and Defaults
Double-click Add Remove Programs
Click the Windows Setup Tab
Double-click the Accessories and Utilities and
Double-click the Accessories
Uncheck paint depending upon if you want to install / uninstall mspaint

Note: uninstall Paint first then do all the step again but this them click paint to install it.

Seriously, Paint sucks. Get Gimp, it's free and it's about 1000 times more useful.

It is on the original Windows CD. You should be able to extract it from there.
